Who we are

Vice After Dark is an unofficial fan site. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Contributions support this site and its club. They don't buy any game content, aren't donations to a charity, and aren't tax-deductible.

You must be 18 or older

You must be 18 or older to contribute or to use the site.

What you get

• An Entrepreneur or Kingpin badge on your replies, your profile and the leaderboard.
• Kingpins can pick their own vanity club plate (like MIA V22) for their profile address and replies. A moderator approves it, it can change once every 90 days, and it goes back to your standard plate if your Kingpin membership ends.
• The club perks listed for your tier on the Support the Letter page, such as extra reactions and a profile picture right away.

Perks are features of our club only. Every edition of The Leonida Letter stays free for everyone. We may add, change or retire perks over time. If we remove a perk your tier includes, we'll tell you by email first.

Billing

• Memberships are charged monthly or yearly, depending on the option you pick. They renew automatically until you cancel.
• Contributions are sold through Stripe's Link service, which acts as the seller and handles the payment and the tax. Your card statement shows LINK.COM* VICE AFTER DARK. We never see or store your card number.
• Link emails you a receipt for every payment.
• Tax is added at checkout. Prices are shown before tax. Any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live is added at checkout, so you see the full total before you pay. Stripe collects it and pays it to the tax office.
• Price changes. If we change a price, we'll email you at least 30 days before you're charged the new price, so you can cancel first. Any renewal inside those 30 days is charged at your old price.

Cancelling or switching

• Cancel, switch tiers or update your card any time from your account → Manage contribution.
• If you cancel, your rank and perks stay until the end of the period you've already paid for, then stop. There are no further charges.
• If you switch tiers, the change happens right away and Stripe adjusts the charge for the time left.

Refunds

• Full refund within 3 days. If you ask within 3 days of any charge (a new membership, a renewal or a tip), we'll refund it in full, no questions asked. Email [email protected] from the address on your account.
• After 3 days, payments aren't refundable, including partial months or years, except where our payment provider or the law gives you a right to a refund.
• When a membership payment is refunded, the paid rank and its perks end straight away.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry it and we'll email you. Your rank stays for 7 days while you update your card. After that, the paid rank ends until a payment goes through.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank, the paid rank ends straight away while the dispute is open. Please email us first; we're happy to sort out a mistake.

Club rules and bans

If your account is banned for breaking the club rules, any paid rank ends and your membership is cancelled. A ban isn't refunded beyond the 3-day rule above.

Gifts from the team

Staff sometimes give members a free badge or free time (a "comp"). Comps aren't payments, follow the same club rules, and end on the date shown on your account.

Your data

For contributions we keep:

• your Stripe customer and subscription ids;
• your tier, status, dates and amounts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll email contributors about any important change.
